Week 13: December 11th, 2019- Art and adverbs

- We warmed up by telling the class about the work of art we had chosen and we had read a little bit about. We knew about lots of interesting artists our classmates love. Mine was Leonard Cohen, that's the reason for the image on the left.
- We then created some art ourselves by being inspired while listening to Variations, by Benjamin Britten (up to minute 2,35). We imagined a picture and described it to our classmate.
- We had a look at the different types of adverbs and where to place them, corrected the exercises and practised them by putting in order a story told by cards.
- We did a little exercise with this year's Christmas Carol by Sia, Candy Cane Lane.
- We rehearsed the department's carol together!

Homework:
- You have a handout with some more practice of adverbs.
- Pick up two or three photos from last year's Christmas holiday and be prepared to tell a classmate about the context of the photo. In January we'll compare the two years!
