Week 10: November 21st, 2018- Films and The Shape of Water

medium.com
- We discussed the film handout, talking about the best scenes and characters of The Shape of Water.
- We did an exercise to guess who said the phrases we were given. At the beginning of the exercise we have the poem that closes the film. Here you have a reading about the origin of the poem.
- If you want to have a glance, here you have the script of the film.
- We did a listening comprehension exercise with an interview with Guillermo del Toro.
- We did an exercise to choose two films from the poster exhibition and shared our choices.

Homework:
- I'd like you to design and record a review of The Shape of Water. Remember I gave you some vocabulary to try to use. Here you have some examples of reviews to be inspired. Some recorded ones from NPR and some easier ones from the British Council.  Here you have some book reviews, some of them in text and others in an audio.Try to record about three or four minutes.
- Remember that every two reviews of either a book, magazine article or film you borrow from the library gets you a prize!! You can either write the review or record your review and post in on the Recommendations wall of the department. I'll post it for you if you prefer!
